Thinking about losing those flabs you dislike, we have got you covered!

Our quarantine is all about binge eating, binge-watching Netflix shows, taking online classes, conducting online meetings, trying new calorie-dense foods, sleeping late, and repeating.

If I am not wrong, that’s the scenario of every individual these days. If you are reading this, you might want to change a few things you usually do, right?

Do you want to up your lifestyle game by bringing some modifications to your everyday routine? These are a few tips from the dietitian’s journal that will help you lose weight fast!

Set A Calorie Target

“Okay! This is not something difficult.” At least you have to think it this way if you are driven to lose weight.

To lose weight, you have to minimize around 500 to 1000 calories per day to lose one to two pounds each week. The key is not to stress your body. Start slow.

If you are consuming roughly around 2000 calories a day, reduce 500 calories by cutting down extra unhealthy snacks, late-night munching, junk foods, fizzy drinks, etc. Replace it with healthy alternatives that contain fewer calories and are energy-dense.

Keep Tabs on Your Weight

Measuring your weight daily and seeing the reduction in your weight keeps you motivated. It pushes you to work on yourself.

You can also take pictures of yourself every week to compare and contrast the improvements.

Journaling

We all have a habit of munching on a few snacks while sitting. It is better to jot down the things you have consumed during the day to cut down the calories.

It is a good practice because this record keeps you on track. If you are lazy about the pen-and-journal approach, you can use a popular app called MyFitnessPal.

Grab A Small Plate

Swap your large dinner plate with a small salad plate. The small plate will help you eyeball the amount of food you are having during the day.

Eyeball Your Portion Size

It does not mean that you take out your measuring cups and spoons to measure your food. However, it is much simple.

Fill half of your small salad plate with various veggies or mix salad. Now fill one quarter with a protein-based dish and the remaining quarter with a carb-based dish.

The trick to eat less is before having your lunch or dinner, drink a glass of water. It suppresses your appetite and keeps you full.

Working Out

Take out 15 to 30 minutes from your routine to exercise. Start with 15 minutes and gradually increase the time.

There are various workouts that you can do at home without any gym equipment. You can do cardio, yoga, HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training), or jump ropes.

Bottom Line

These are not some fancy tricks. All you need is motivation and perseverance. Losing weight is not that hard; you must be confident and adopt healthy habits to stay in shape.
